YASSarts "Art Trail" From 5 & 6 November 2011

“The Yass Valley Shire, just north of the Australian National Capital, Canberra, boasts a remarkable variety of talent in the field of arts, either in people who choose to live here or who have been raised in this region
The purpose of YASSarts is to draw attention to arts & culture in our region. The website’s broader purpose is to be that of an inventory – a kind of listing of all individuals or groups working within the arts, whether professional or amateur, within the Yass Valley Shire.
The amount of professional practitioners in the region is quite astounding – people with national and international standing – but the idea of the YASSarts website is to also provide a platform and profile for those who do not make a living from their art but whose work is no less noteworthy”.
The YASSarts ‘Arts Trail’ runs over both Saturday and Sunday (5 & 6 November) featuring the arts & culture of the Yass Valley Shire. Initiated by the YASSarts, a cultural tourism website, the ‘Arts Trail’ features exhibitions and open studios, music and dance, poetry and an evening of comedy.
ArtSHINE Associate marie-nicole will also open her Creative space  to the public for  Sunday 6 November only as part of the Classic Yass Art Trail Celebration.
So, if you happen to be in Yass or around  Canberra between 5 & 6 November you must come along and get do the Art Trail. it’s definitely well worth a visit.

Please leave us a comment if you’ve been to the show… we’d love to know what you think.
