In our world today, we can easily access the TV, Internet and are basically bombarded with the lives of the rich and famous. Their extravagant lifestyles, fashion and their luxury status can easily tempt us and distract our own lives too.

Be honest. We all experience these at some stage and that’s okay. All I am saying is you need to be real and appreciate your life and what you have too and take a holistic approach by thinking about the world as a whole.
Sometimes you go off track and start complaining about things that bother you or wanting a lifestyle that you can’t have.

Have you ever thought of making a small list of some of your overlooked privileges and things in your life you take for granted.
Here are some of the things we sometimes overlook:
- Owning a car or cars
- A lovely house or houses
- Access to clear water
- Television, computers & internet
- Public transportation
- A well paid job
- A profitable business
- Great partners, families and wonderful friends
And most of all is being free and live in a beautiful country like Australia where all the above things are a foreign idea to many people in some countries.
Here are my tips for how to express my gratitude and positive thoughts
- Write down five things you are grateful for each day
- Practice this for at least 4 weeks and you will see a big change in your life and how you see your life too.
