Here are some tips to help you how to follow your passion and build a sustainable business of your dream:
1. Do your research.
Once you’ve identified what your passion is, the next key step is to work out whether there is an opportunity for you to live the life you want and make money you need from that passion.
- Ask yourself the following questions:
Are you ready for it?
Are you 100% committed?
- Identify successful people you know and have a good chat with them to get an idea about how they started their businesses. What were their challenges and most importantly, if they would do it all over again, what would they do differently?
- A business coach will walk alongside you as you create a sustainable business that both supports you and your creative practice.
- Make sure you select a coach who understands you and who understands your passion, business, and the industry you’re in. A coach can help you find solutions, hold you accountable, will give you the motivation you need to focus on your goals, and will help you grow your business.
- You should also have mentors in different areas of your business to help you along in your journey. A mentor is someone who has direct experience and who can offer you advice, support, networks, and guidance.
- When you consider following your passion and creating a Business LifeStyle for yourself, make sure you’re very clear on your DPP.
- Keep your passion clear and simple so you are not too overwhelmed. Remember this Procrastination will poison passion . It will prevent you from taking action to achieve your goals. Always find ways to simplify the process and let your passion shine.
- It doesn’t matter what your passion is. Whether you are experienced, or a newbie to business, if you have the commitment and determination you will be a success. Persistence and repetition will help you learn, build and grow your business.
- Focus on the following three elements when you operate your business:
- Working IN – Creating, and producing designs or products
- Working ON – Promoting your business
- Working ABOVE– Working towards your dream and vision
