When it comes to setting goals and being productive always pay attention to managing your EFFORTS, not the result.
Let’s say your objective is to lose weight. In reality you can’t really control the outcome of your goal by focusing on the result. You can only achieve your goal by managing your effort. For example a good start to losing weight is by walking for at least 30 minutes a day, and eating healthily.
So, the next time you are going to set personal or business goals, focus on the effort and not on the result.
Here’s some tips to help you achieve your goals:
Set purposeful goals – If the goal has great purpose and it’s important to you, you will more than likely to do it.
Work out the tasks you need to do to achieve your goals.
Plan your steps in a sequential order.
Set time frames to complete those tasks.
Get help, and let people to help you. You don’t have to do alone.
Review your efforts and progress.
Make genuine commitments to yourself. And keep them.
Celebrate when you achieve your goals.
