How to Impress an Important Business Client

When you are trying to impress a client or potential client, it can be difficult. Where do you start? How do you convince them that you’re right for them? Read on to find out.

Think About Appearances

You might like to think that a client won’t be swayed by how you look or how your office and employees look. But appearances certainly make a difference. You don’t want them to have a bad first impression of your business. But this is what will happen if you don’t think about appearances. You should clean up your office when a potential client is coming over and make sure it all looks professional. You should also enforce a dress code in the office so that the workforce look professional and disciplined.

Tell Them Exactly Why They Need You

If you want to win over a client, you need to tell them what you can offer and how this will benefit the client. If you can’t show them why they need you, then they will probably head somewhere else. So, make sure that you have a very specific message that you can deliver to the client. If they latch onto the vision that you deliver to them, you might just clinch the client you want. This is definitely something that needs to be prepared in advance though. You can’t improvise your message.

Show Them Some Style

You can show your clients or potential clients how important they are to you by showing them some style. This simply means making sure that their experiences when visiting you are as strong as they possibly can be. This is especially important if the client has travelled a long way to meet you. So, what are the best ways to show them style? Well, you could use professional limousine services to make sure that they travel in style when they’re in your company. Or you could hold meetings at high-end locations.

Adapt Your Approach to Them

When you’re trying to win over a client, you should be specific to the client. It becomes very obvious very quickly when a company is simply delivering the same pitch to everyone. The client should feel like you know about them and their company. This will show that you have done your research and really care about the client. Taking a uniform approach will make it so much more difficult for you to win over the client, so it’s something that you should really avoid.

Speak to Them Clearly and Confidently

The way in which you delivery is almost as important as the message itself when you’re trying to impress a potential client. You need to say what you need to say in a way that’s clear, concise and confident. Those are three words that you need to remember when you’re with a client. If you are not confident, or you don’t get your message across clearly, the task will be a lot harder for you. People respond well to a speaker who is talking confidently and clearly, so make sure you do this well.
