Your Marketing Ain’t Broke, So Don’t Fix It!

Well as the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, dont fix it. This is certainly true for the marketing industry and yet it’s fair to say that many businesses have tried. Owners of companies get fixated on fresh and innovative ways to market to consumers. An example of this would be the current infatuation with VR tech. Virtual Reality technology though interesting, is certainly not going to be beneficial for every business marketing campaign. You can easily see how holiday planners could use VR to their benefit. But what about a construction business? Aside from showing clients what a finished product would look like there is not much use for VR in this industry.

As such, it would be useful for many companies to instead focus on old school marketing techniques. These can work a real treat for businesses big and small selling internationally and nationally. So, what type of marketing are we talking about?

Flyers For All

If you are looking to increase the level of foot traffic for your company, you may want to consider using flyers. Flyers are cheap and can be handed out by employees of your business on the street outside. If you do this, you are sure to attract the attention of at least some new customers. That said, you do need to be careful that it is not regarded as junk mail. This means that your flyers need to look professionally designed and contain interesting information. If they don’t, a customer’s first thought will be to put it in the bin.

Here’s My Card

You might also want to think about creating business cards for your customers and your clients. Business cards are useful because they allow you to impress a client who you have just met. You need to get your cards made using quality printing services to ensure that they look fantastic. By being able to hand them a business card, you are showing that your company is professional and that it pays attention to the little details. Both are important traits for your customers to recognise.

Woah, SEO

You might class SEO as one of the new bangled options for marketing. However, SEO has been around for quite a while and gone through a number of changes in recent years. Indeed, it seems that many business owners are moving away from the old tongs of SEO like keyword adding and link building. This could be a mistake because while there are new forms of optimisation, SEO is still very effective. Business owners should not dismiss it so quickly.

Curb Appeal

Finally, business owners have begun to stop valuing their property location. It makes sense when many are completing most of their transactions and even some meetings online. However, by disregarding the importance of the exterior of your building, you are still missing out on an old yet significant marketing possibility. With some marketing materials, or even just decorations, you can easily attract customers off the street who see your business building. You will be amazed how many leads can be generated this way. That is why you shouldn’t dismiss it so quickly.
