Exciting New Ways to Create in the 21st Century

If you love being creative in any way you can, you’re sure to have dabbled in some creative technologies. Many technologies can be incredible tools for creating various things, from digital images to physical products. It’s worth keeping an eye on what new technologies emerge that could open up new possibilities for you as a creative. While you might not buy them all, looking for opportunities to try them out can help you decide what could be valuable for your career or just fun to play with if being creative is more of a hobby. Check out some of these technologies to find new ways to be creative.

Computers and Software for Creatives

For a long time, Apple’s computers have been the top choice for many creatives. They have consistently offered to tools and interfaces that are preferred by graphic designers, videographers, web designers, and many other types of creative professionals and hobbyists. However, recently things have begun to change a little. Microsoft’s new Surface Pro range offers touchscreen capabilities, along with other features that many creatives are looking for. For some, Apple’s newest offerings haven’t made the grade. Software has progressed too, with new apps and software suites for a range of skills, such as Adobe XD for creating app and website mockups.

3D Printers

Everything in the future is much more 3D than it has ever been. And it’s a huge improvement on the 3D efforts of the past. One of the biggest attractions has been 3D printers, which have both creative and commercial applications. While they were initially very expensive, they’re now much more affordable for the average person. 3D printer filament isn’t too pricey either, and there are lots of colours available. The printers can be excellent for a range of tasks. You can use them to create product prototypes or just to make completed projects.

3D Drawing

Another thing you can do in 3D is drawing. One example of this is Mental Canvas, a programme that allows you to create digital drawings and move your canvas around in 3D. This makes 3D drawing more accessible for people who might not have tried it before but it also makes it easier for experts. You can also use the app with other new technology, like the dial that comes with the Microsoft Surface Studio, as well as other systems like Wacom’s control system.

Virtual Reality Creations

Virtual reality has grown more popular over the last few years as technology has developed. VR headsets can allow people to do a lot of things, from playing interactive games to something more creative. One ability of virtual reality is to allow you to use virtual paint with Google’s Tilt Brush application, which works with the HTC Vive. Using the controls, you can paint in a virtual reality world and create 3D projects. You can even save and share your creations.

New technology can allow you to do so many cool things. Whether you’re a professional or you just like to do creative things as a hobby, it gives you a lot to try out.
