If you feel as though your employees are putting your business at risk, then it is certainly time for you to do something about that. After all, one mistake could bring your entire company down and this is the last thing you need. If you want to find out more then take a look below.

They are Accessing Sites that Are Not Secure

One of the main and most common security risks that your business is going to face is your team accessing sites that they shouldn’t be. Even if your team are accessing sites that are allowed, you still need to make sure that they are secure. It may be that the other website does not have a secure and private connection, or that it has been compromised. When your team logs in with private or personal details, such as their email address, name or password, the information will then be susceptible to being viewed or even manipulated by malicious code. Good browsers such as Safari, Firefox or even Chrome all have standard protocols which show a security symbol to help you find out if the site you are accessing is safe or not. If you want to get around this then you need to have your IT department block users from accessing sites that are not secure at all.

They’re Coming into Work Sick

If your teamwork when they are sick, then this can put your entire organisation at risk. You may find that your other employees fall sick as well and this can leave you functioning without entire departments. If you want to get around this then you may want to offer workplace flu vaccinations or other types of healthcare as this will give you the chance to make sure that your team are not being put at risk unnecessarily.

Opening Phishing Emails

Phishing emails are always a way for people to access your system. They are also one of the most common ways for cyberattacks to happen as well. Hackers send malicious emails to those who work in your business and they also use it as a way to steal information. If you want to stop things like this from happening then it is helpful for you to have some kind of anti-virus software for your email accounts, as this will often stop phishing emails too.

They’re Bringing Personal Devices to Work

When your employees bring their personal devices to work, you may find that this puts your entire business at risk. Employees who bring their device to work won’t have the same security measures as someone who is using your company device. It also means that you are more vulnerable to attacks as well because you will not be able to see which devices have the latest updates and which ones don’t. If your team are working from home, then it is vital that you make sure that their devices are secure as much as possible to stop issues like this from happening.
