Easy Ways to Connect with Your Clients in the Holidays

The holidays are a great time to connect with your clients in interesting ways. Everyone is likely to be celebrating something, no matter their religion or lack of one. Even those that aren’t celebrating anything in particular enjoy the festivities of the season. You have an excellent opportunity to reach out to your clients and show them you care outside of soliciting their business. You can send cards and gifts, as well as be there for them over the holidays. It will help you demonstrate that you appreciate them and that you’re ready to go into the new year with them. Try using some of these ideas to get in touch with your clients over the holidays.

Send Cards

Sending Christmas or holiday cards to clients has long been something that many businesses do. However, you might worry about the expense and the environmental impact. If you want an alternative, you can think about sending e-cards instead. They don’t need any trees to make, and you can personalise them as much as you want. Some companies will allow you to add on extras, like a donation in your client’s name. You can make the card interactive too, with a link to your website, which you can’t do with a physical card.

Give Gifts

You can also send gifts to your clients to show your appreciation, and remind them that you’re there. There are lots of small gifts that you can easily send to all your clients, even if you have many of them. For example, you could send out calendars or yearly planners with your brand on them to use in their office. It’s also a good idea to send a more significant gift to some of your most important clients. Christmas gift baskets make an excellent choice because you can include a range of items for them to enjoy. You could send them a ready-prepared hamper with food and drink or you could make it yourself.

Let Them Know When You’re Around

The holidays can be a hectic time of year, with many companies taking time off on different dates. Some businesses will be gone longer than others, and it can be difficult for your clients to keep up. Before you leave the office, make sure you send out an email to let everyone know your opening days and hours. You might even want to provide them with a contact number or email address to get hold of you out of hours. It’s also a good idea to set up an out-of-office email and perhaps have a holiday answering message on your phones too.

Have a Party

Everyone loves a festive party, so you could consider hosting one for your staff and clients. Invite them and their families and get to know everyone in a more relaxed setting. It could be a family affair, or you might decide to have a more adult evening event. Your clients will enjoy seeing that you can have fun and throw a good party.

Your customers will appreciate it if you remember them during the holidays. Both small and large gestures can show that you care about them.
